Here are some frequently asked questions:

Do you become part of our staff – will I see you every day?

Yes and no.  We like to interact with your staff as time allows – both yours and
ours.  However, we will do most of our work off-site, coming to your office mostly
for meetings with you or your staff and to keep us on track.  For projects that
require us to evaluate fundraising or other systems, we will be on-site as
necessary to be effective.  Each client and project are different, and we are very
flexible and determined to meet your needs in a way that works for you.

What type of billing arrangements are there and when do I get billed?

Your satisfaction is our top concern.  We find that clients and projects tend to be
different, so we are very open to gearing our billing to your needs.  If you have
long-term needs, a retainer agreement may make the most sense; if you have a
one-time project need with a definite start and finish, a project quote will make
the most sense.  We bill once per month for actual hours used that month with a
full explanation of our charges.  Payment is expected within 30 days, which helps
keep our costs down.  We ask that you discuss with us in advance any
anticipated delays in payments.

Estimates are just that, not guarantees of final costs.  However, we will discuss
any unexpected charges with you prior to billing for costs that may be higher than
expected.  And we will pass on savings when time spent is lower than
anticipated!

Is this a long term commitment?

You have no long-term commitment and no risk.  If your needs change or you are
not satisfied for any reason, your only obligation is for hours already spent.  

We want happy clients!  If something is not going to your expectation, please tell
us.  We’ll do our best to make it right!  

Do you ever work on a percentage basis?

Never!  In the fundraising world it is considered unethical because it creates an
incentive for a fundraiser to stretch the truth to obtain funding for the client.  We
charge a fair, reasonable flat rate that is below that of most other firms in the
area and is completely documented.

Will you help me find funding sources?

Absolutely!   We find that, between our extensive database sources, and those
your organization already has knowledge of, solid potential funders can be
turned up for almost any project.
